Division of Nephrology

UMMC's Kidney Disorders Program ranked as one of the nation's 50 best by U.S. News & World Report's 2011 "Best Hospitals" survey.

The Nephrology Division investigates a range of kidney disorders, particularly as they relate to hypertension, glomerulonephritis and renal artery disease. Services include an inpatient unit for patients with kidney disease, a transplant program and an in-hospital dialysis center for medically high-risk patients. Two affiliated satellite facilities offer outpatient treatment, counseling and education.
