Hidrocele

Un hidrocele es una acumulación de líquido dentro del área escrotal, alrededor de los testículos. Los hidroceles son comunes en los recién nacidos y normalmente desaparecen después de unos pocos meses de vida. El principal síntoma de un hidrocele es la inflamación indolora de un testículo, a uno o a ambos lados, que se siente como una bomba llena de agua. En términos generales los hidroceles no son peligrosos y usualmente sólo se les hace tratamiento cuando ocasionan incomodidad o molestia o cuando crecen al punto de amenazar el suministro de sangre del testículo.
