Enfermedad de Lyme

La enfermedad de Lyme es una condición inflamatoria aguda que se caracteriza por cambios de la piel, inflamación de las articulaciones y síntomas parecidos a los de la gripe causados por la bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi transmitida por la picadura de la garrapata de ciervo. Los síntomas desaparecen después de tres a cuatro semanas hasta sin tratamiento, pero se puede manifestar una enfermedad secundaria o terciaria si no se trata la infección inicial.
