Cuáles son los riesgos:

  • Fractura ósea
  • Infección ósea (osteomielitis )
  • Daño al tejido circundante
  • Molestia
  • Sangrado excesivo
  • Infección cerca al área de la biopsia

Nota: algunas personas con trastornos óseos presentan también trastornos de coagulación, lo cual aumenta el riesgo de sangrado.

Consideraciones especiales:

Los signos de infección ósea (uno de los riesgos más graves) son, entre otros: fiebre, dolor de cabeza, dolor con el movimiento, enrojecimiento e hinchazón de los tejidos que se encuentran alrededor del sitio de la biopsia, al igual drenaje de pus desde este sitio. Si esto ocurre, busque atención médica de inmediato.
