Riesgos:

Existe una pequeña posibilidad de infección en el lugar de la inyección o incisión.

El sangrado en exceso es infrecuente, pero puede requerir drenaje o colocación de una nueva venda. Los hematomas son comunes.

Quedará una pequeña cicatriz. Dependiendo de la cantidad de tejido extirpado y de la forma como sana la mama, la apariencia de ésta se puede ver afectada.
