Cuáles son los riesgos:

Existe algo de riesgo de que el catéter dañe la arteria o desprenda un pedazo de la pared arterial, lo que puede reducir o bloquear la circulación y llevar a muerte tisular. Esta complicación es poco común.

Otros riesgos abarcan:

  • Reacción alérgica al medio de contraste.
  • Coágulo de sangre que viaja a los pulmones.
