Signo de Nikolsky - Información general

Definición:

Es una afección cutánea en la cual las capas superiores de la piel se desprenden de las capas inferiores de la misma cuando hay una ligera fricción.

Consideraciones generales:

El signo de Nikolsky puede ser positivo o negativo. Un resultado positivo puede estar presente en varias enfermedades diferentes. En las personas con un signo positivo, la piel de las capas subyacentes se afloja y se desprende cuando hay fricción. El área por debajo de la piel es de color rosa y húmeda y puede ser muy sensible.

De manera típica, el médico comprobará la presencia de este signo, retorciendo el borrador de un lápiz contra la piel. Si es positivo, generalmente en cuestión de minutos se forma una ampolla en el área.
