Deglución dolorosa - Información general

Odinofagia; Sensación de ardor al tragar; Ardor o dolor al deglutir

Definición:

Se refiere a una fuerte sensación de ardor y opresión molesta al deglutir, que se puede sentir en la parte alta del cuello o en la parte inferior por detrás del esternón. Tal dolor puede ser un síntoma de un trastorno serio.

Consideraciones generales:

La deglución es un acto complejo que involucra la boca, el área de la garganta y el esófago (tubo que transporta el alimento hasta el estómago).

Los problemas en cualquier punto, desde la boca hasta el esófago, pueden provocar ardor e intenso dolor con la deglución, lo cual puede estar acompañado de síntomas como dolor torácico, sensación de alimento atorado en la garganta, o pesadez y presión en el cuello o la parte superior del tórax.
