Cierre prematuro de las suturas

Síntomas:

  • Ausencia de la sensación normal de un "punto blando" (fontanela) en el cráneo del bebé
  • Desaparición temprana de la fontanela
  • Surco sobresaliente y duro a lo largo de la sutura afectada
  • Forma de cabeza irregular
  • Poco o ningún aumento del tamaño de la cabeza con el tiempo a medida que el bebé crece

Signos y exámenes:

El médico palpará la cabeza del bebé y llevará a cabo un examen físico. Un examen neurológico también ayudaría a diagnosticar la afección. Se pueden realizar los siguientes exámenes:
