Papiloma intraductal - Síntomas

Signos y exámenes:

El papiloma intraductal es la causa más común de secreción espontánea del pezón de un solo conducto.

El médico puede sentir una pequeña protuberancia o tumor por debajo del pezón, pero ésta no siempre se puede palpar o sentir. Una mamografía a menudo no muestra los papilomas, pero la ecografía puede ayudar.

Otros exámenes abarcan:

  • Una biopsia de mama para descartar un cáncer.
  • Una evaluación de la secreción para ver si las células son cancerosas (malignas).
  • Una radiografía con medio de contraste inyectado en el conducto afectado (galactografía).
