Absceso retrofaríngeo - Overview
Definición:
Es una acumulación de pus en los tejidos de la parte posterior de la garganta y es una afección potencialmente mortal.

El absceso retrofaríngeo generalmente afecta a los niños menores de cinco años, pero puede ocurrir a cualquier edad.
El material infectado (pus) se acumula en el espacio alrededor de los tejidos en la parte posterior de la garganta. Esto puede ocurrir durante o inmediatamente después de una infección de la garganta.
