Lesión cutánea de coccidioidomicosis - Síntomas

Síntomas:

  • Lesión cutánea de infección primaria:
    • erupción papular
    • eritema nodoso
    • eritema multiforme (lesión en escarapela o herpes iris).
  • Lesión cutánea de enfermedad diseminada: pápula, pústula, nódulo o placa que:
    • pueden ulcerarse
    • se encuentran con más frecuencia en la cara
    • pueden formar abscesos

Signos y exámenes:

El diagnóstico depende de la etapa de la infección (primaria versus diseminada) y puede incluir una biopsia de piel para detectar el hongo en un cultivo, si se sospecha la enfermedad diseminada.
