Acantosis pigmentaria - Treatment

Tratamiento:

Debido a que la acantosis pigmentaria únicamente causa cambios en la apariencia de la piel, no se necesita ningún tratamiento.

Sin embargo, es importante tratar cualquier problema médico subyacente que pueda estar ocasionando estos cambios en la piel. Cuando la acantosis pigmentaria está relacionada con la obesidad, bajar de peso a menudo mejora la afección.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

La acantosis pigmentaria usualmente desaparece si se puede encontrar y tratar su causa.
