Tratamiento:

El tratamiento generalmente consiste en una cirugía o atravesar la piel con una aguja o sonda para drenar el absceso. Usted también recibirá antibióticos durante más o menos 4 a 6 semanas. Algunas veces, los antibióticos solos pueden curar la infección.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Esta afección puede ser mortal para algunos pacientes. El riesgo de muerte es más alto en personas que tienen muchos abscesos hepáticos.
