Definición:

Es un cáncer que comienza en alguna parte del cuerpo y se disemina a los pulmones.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

Los tumores metastásicos a los pulmones son tumores malignos (cánceres) que se desarrollan en otros sitios y se propagan a través del torrente sanguíneo a los pulmones. Los tumores más comunes que se extienden por metástasis a los pulmones son, entre otros: cáncer de mama, cáncer de colon, cáncer de próstata, sarcoma, cáncer vesical, neuroblastoma y tumor de Wilms. Sin embargo, casi cualquier tipo de cáncer tiene la capacidad de diseminarse a los pulmones.
