Macroamylase is a molecule that consists of an enzyme, called amylase, bound to a protein. Because it is relatively large, macroamylase is filtered very slowly from the blood by the kidneys.
Macroamylasemia has been associated with:
- Celiac disease

- Lymphoma
- HIV infection
- Monoclonal gammopathy
