You should not receive this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to aprotinin, calcium chloride, fibrinogen, thrombin, or bovine proteins (from animals such as oxen or cows).
Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
This medicine is made from donated human blood. Some human blood products have transmitted certain viruses to people who have received them. The risk of getting a virus from human blood products has been greatly reduced because all donated blood must be tested before any products are made. Talk with your doctor if you have any concerns about this risk.
